1) New Features
Tasks manager
Description
This new feature ‘Tasks manager’ will allow you to create a draft planning and notes, linked to all activities in CyT.
- It allows you to link your planned activities to employees and dates and link it to the existing modules in CyT. For other activities there is ‘Other Activity’ available.
- It has a clean notepad and basic markup.
- Lets you assign employees and dates due.
Design
A complete new view that is accessible via the sidebar under Winery activities. New tasks can be added on the right top side with the activity button ‘+ Add Task’. The added/created tasks will be listed in a table which can be ordered on date or others.
The column "Status" changes according to the action validation. Now only Pending and Completed are available. When a registration is done at the same time of validation, the status will change to ‘Completed with registration’
In the column Actions you can
- View the task.
- Edit the task. When validated only comments can be added
- Delete the task.
- Validate/invalidate the task
All activities available in Craft your Taste are assignable to your employees. This when the employees have been created in the platform with the employee
How to use
The Task Manager allows you to prepare tasks, set activities, and add due dates without affecting CyT's registration or trace concepts. It doesn't link task details to cellar batches or grape parcels yet. Tasks are managed via a popup, with mandatory fields for Task Type, Priority, and Due Date.
How to Use: Start with a high-level plan based on seasons, then detail specific parcels without altering the overall plan. Use clear task names, select the correct CyT Module and Task, specify start dates, and set due dates. Priority is generally not needed for high-level planning. Provide detailed task names, instructions, priorities, and due dates when detailing the plan.
Complete tasks: When a task is done, you can edit the due date to the date completed for better overview in the Task Manager. If possible, register an activity with the task completion to link it to a registration. While the basic Task Manager does not influence activities or traces, this might be useful for future implementations. If you cancel the registration and task completion by moving to another view via the side menu, a warning will appear in the top right corner.
Validation links tasks to activity registration, impacting traceability but not the task itself. Completing a task with registration marks it as 'Completed with registration'; otherwise, it is 'Completed'. Validated tasks can be edited with new comments, but task details remain unchanged. Invalidating a 'Completed with registration' task unlinks the registration but keeps it in traceability.
Use-cases:
- Planners: Create basic plans for the year, season, month, or week. Details can be added, dates moved, and tasks inserted as needed.
- Employees: Check your tasks.
- Managers: View the workload of your employees.
Future upgrades
User access rights to edit, deleting and invalidating.
